Hours and minutes

The world is just not fair
Time has a way of leaving you bare
Words can turn to acid rain
Just one thing and you're someone's bane
More and more can leave you open
Like that wound people keep pokin'
They say it's human nature to hate
This can't possibly be my fate
What have I done that's so wrong?
Just because I sing a different song
Am I something so terribly new,
That I constantly offend you?
You're so quick to throw me out
Can we take no other route?
This point we have to pass

Please forgive me, I know not what I do
I never meant to be untrue
Everything got out of my hands
Everyone my time demands
One person am I
And sometimes that makes me want to cry
More time for me there should be
That way you would never have to miss me
My shortcomings overlook please
Or of you I'll never be worthy
Promises I do mean to keep
When I break them I weep
So if you can find it in your heart
To give me another start
I won't let you down
And never again will you have to frown
So please forgive me, I know not what I do
All I ever wanted to do was Love you.
